When you book a stay with us, you hand over a few personal details. We take that seriously. This page explains what we collect, why we need it, who sees it, and what control you have over it. No fine print tricks, just straight answers.
By using jostelhotels.com or booking through us, you agree to this policy. If anything here doesn't sit right with you, write to us before you book and we'll talk it through.
Who We Are
Jo'stel Hotels, operated by [legal entity name], is a hotel booking and hospitality management platform based in [city, state]. In this policy, "we", "us," and "Jo'stel" mean us, and "you" means anyone who visits our website, makes a booking, or contacts our team.

What We Don't Ask For
We don't ask for your biometric data, health records, religion, or sexual orientation. If you mention something personal in a special request, such as an allergy or a mobility need, we'll use it only to make your stay comfortable and for nothing else.

Payments
When you pay online, your card, UPI, or net banking details go through our payment partner.. We don't store your full card number, CVV, or banking passwords on our servers. We only receive confirmation that the payment went through, along with the transaction reference.
ID Documents at Check-In
Properties are legally required to verify who is staying, which is why you're asked for a government photo ID. For foreign guests, details like passport and visa are also reported to authorities as the law requires. We or the property may collect and hold these documents for this purpose only. They are never used for marketing.
Who We Share Your Information With
We never sell your personal information. We share it only where it's needed:
- The property you book. They need your name, contact details, and booking information to host you.
- Service providers. These include payment processors, our cloud hosting and software tools, and communication tools for email, SMS, and WhatsApp. They can use your data only to do their job for us.
We will share information when the law requires it, such as for police verification, court orders, or government requests, or to protect someone's safety or investigate fraud.
A future owner. If our business is ever sold or merged, your information may move with it, and we will make sure it continues to be protected.

You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in the message, or tell us to stop on WhatsApp or SMS. Booking-related messages, such as your confirmation and reminders, will still be sent because they're part of the service.
